New Blog

I'm thinking of using a blog to link all my research and computer work for my summer project since it is easier to refer back to websites and work in this way. Hopefully it will enable me to easily access my research and track the progress of my work through this project.

The theme of the summer project is 5 words -

PROCESS    ALIENATE    PERSUASION    DOMINATE    ALTERNATE

Introduction

”Words mean more than what is set down on paper. It takes the human

voice to infuse them with shades of deeper meaning.” — Maya Angelou

This project will allow you to produce some very open and self directed

work within the context of your chosen pathway. You are encouraged to

experiment with new creative strategies, engage in fresh research and

pursue imaginative conceptual development. This is an opportunity to get

out of your comfort zone, take some risks, make some mistakes and push

your work into a new and exciting creative space.

Brief

You are to choose one of the following words and develop a visual

response with a focus on your chosen pathway:

PROCESS    ALIENATE    PERSUASION    DOMINATE    ALTERNATE

Deliverables

There is no specific final outcome or deliverable to this brief but the

volume of work should be equivalent to that of a normal three week

project. This should include sketchbooks, research, experimentation,

development and final production.
